Most of this area was mined for gold in the early 1900's and a few claims still remain. Along the way, I visited the Holly mine, Bickel Camp, and Burro Schmidt's tunnel and home. The area borders Red Rock state park and my drive through Last Chance Canyon allowed me to capture many of the pink rock formations.
